Guardian of the Person, whether an incapacitated person or a minor, becomes the decision maker for the incapacitated person or minor with regard to such matters as medical treatment, school or religious decisions for a minor, as well as living arrangements. Frequently the Guardian of the Person is a family member who well understands the needs of the incapacitated person or minor.
