Ken Horoho and Clinton Lawyer David Kendall Discuss Family Law Practice Ethics at Bar Association Panel
PITTSBURGH – Gentile, Horoho & Avalli shareholder Ken Horoho served as a panelist in a discussion of “What They Don’t Teach You in Law School,” along with attorney David E. Kendall, former attorney for President Bill Clinton.
The session took place at the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s summer meeting of the Family Law Section in National Harbor, Maryland on June 13.
Horoho, Kendall and the other panelists covered a range of ethical issues that arise in the practice of family law, as well as how to deal with difficult ethical issues in pretrial, trial and post-trial practice.
During the past three decades, Mr. Horoho has been involved in some of the most complex equitable distribution, divorce and custody cases in Western Pennsylvania. In 2006, he became the 112th President of the 29,000-member Pennsylvania Bar Association and later served as a member of the Interbranch Commission on Juvenile Justice; a special panel created by Governor Edward Rendell and the Pennsylvania state legislature to investigate the causes of one of the most extraordinary cases of judicial corruption in state history.
Mr. Horoho is an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he teaches a course on Advanced Family Law Trial Advocacy. He is a frequent lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the PBA and the ACBA on topics of divorce, support, equitable distribution and custody.
He’s a member of the Board of Trustees at Saint Francis University, serves on the Duquesne University School of Law Dean’s Advisory Board and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Downtown YMCA since 1982 and served as its President from 1987-1989.
