Guardianship for Minors

HomePractice AreasGuardianshipsGuardianship for Minors

Individuals under the age of 18 may need to have a guardian appointed to handle funds attributed to the minor or to make decisions regarding care. Once a minor reaches the age of 18, any such guardianship terminates since they are now adults under Pennsylvania law. Frequently, Guardians of the Estate are needed for minors to receive funds incident to a personal injury action or for other possible reasons.
