Firm Expanding Family Law and Estate Planning Practice
Pittsburgh – Gentile, Horoho & Avalli, P.C. (GHA), a leading law firm in the areas of family law and estate planning, administration, and litigation, has announced that Robert D. Weinberg has joined the firm as an associate.
Prior to joining GHA, Mr. Weinberg was a partner with Delany McKinney, LLP in Chevy Chase, Maryland, where he represented clients in Washington, D.C. and surrounding Maryland counties in all aspects of family law including numerous high-conflict custody matters, high-net worth equitable distribution and support cases, child support actions, domestic violence matters, arbitrations, and appellate proceedings.
Before starting his career in private practice, Mr. Weinberg was a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Patrick L. Woodward on the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland, and the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Prior to that, he served as a judicial intern for Hon. Richard D. Bennett, United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He was also a judicial intern for the Circuit Court for Washington County, Maryland.

Mr. Weinberg received his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law with honors in 2004, where he was the associate articles editor of The Business Lawyer. He is also a 2001 graduate of the University of Virginia with a bachelor of arts with honors in history.
He is admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. He is also a member of the D.C. and Maryland bar associations, as well as their family law sections, the Montgomery County, Maryland Bar Association, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Court.
Mr. Weinberg was recognized as a Washington, D.C. “Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers magazine for 2016 and a “Rising Star” in 2013-15. He also served as the co-chair of the Family Law Section Programs Committee for the Montgomery County Bar Association in 2008-09 and 2014-15. Additionally, he was co-chair of the family law section of the Montgomery County Bar Association in 2010-11. He is also trained in collaborative law.
Mr. Weinberg is a resident of Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
